Description
This error can occur during the installation on the Windows Host-PC of the MATLAB®/Simulink® extension. It will terminate this part of the installation. It is only a problem for users who want to use the MATLAB®/Simulink® integration.
Releases affected:
Version 4.1.4. (only Host-PC)
Fixed in release:
Version 4.1.5
Workaround:
for MATLAB® / Simulink® users:
- copy matlab.exe from directory <MATLABROOT>/bin/win32/ into <MATLABROOT>/bin/
- start the installation again
Description
In some cases MATLAB®/Simulink® renames input ports. If the signal from the input to the next block is named, MATLAB®/Simulink® takes the signal name as external input name, instead of the input port name. This leads to missing input port names in the visualization tool. Instead there are inputs with the name of the signal.
Releases affected:
Version 4.1
Fixed in release:
not planned
Workaround:
none
Description
Small models stops with status overrun or real-time error
Workaround:
Check your BIOS settings:
Generally
- Switch off the CPU power management
- Switch off the soundchip (if available)
- Switch off the variable frontside bus frequency (if available)
- Switch off the variable CPU frequency (if available)
- Switch off any unused hardware e.g. serial port or second ethernet port
Optional (Attention only applicable if the above settings are not working out):
- Switch off APIC
- Switch off USB host controller
Description
Data exchange between NI FPGA cards and SCALE-RT does not work correctly.Boolean types for indicators and controls are not allowed in FPGA VIs in combination with SCALE-RT.
Releases affected:
Version 5.0.3
Fixed in release:
-
Workaround:
Use unsigned int 32 controls and indicators in the FPGA VI for interaction between SCALE-RT and the FPGA VI.The FPGA VI internal bool values can be multiplexed and demultiplexted to one or more unsigned int 32 values.
Description
Unaccaptable real-time jitter might occur when using high end graphics cards.
Workaround:
Please use simple graphics cards and refrain from using high end graphics cards (e.g. known issue with Quadro NVS 295) when executing real-time simulation.
SCALE-RT Version History
SCALE-RT 5.1.4
- Performance update for MDI Server
- Insight 3.x (new design; support for signals, states and block parameters)
SCALE-RT 5.1.2
- Bug Fixes for MDI Server
SCALE-RT 5.1.0
- Readjustment of the Makefile for SCALE-RT MATLAB/Simulink extension.
- Deleting of path entry for Cygwin (now absolute referencing of commands and directories of the Cygwin environment)
- Driver support for Meilhaus ME-4670FRQ (ME-4670 with each 4 PWM In and Out)
- CAN Vector CFG TX Block for Simulink. It is used to assemble *.dbc data (data format from Vector CANalyzer) within the data frame
- Bug Fixes for MDI Server
SCALE-RT 5.0.6
- .net library (v0.0.2) for Windows
- Python 2.5 library for Linux (On the target: simply activate import scalert in Python). you can find scripts for example under ter /usr/share/doc/scalert/python/examples. Support under /usr/share/doc/scalert/python/html is for C++, but might be equally used for Python.
- LabVIEW library 1.3.0 (compatibel to mdi-server 3.09 meaning from 5.0.6 Run-time - unfortunatly we had to implemente TCP inkompatibility from LabVIEW library 1.2.x to MDI Server 3.09)
- SCALE-RT Matlab Simulink Developer Kit
- Refactored Simulink blocks
- New ARINC 429 blocks (TX/RX) with improved XML configuration
- Meilhaus MEIDS driver support (e.g. ME-46xx Series)
- General bug fixes and performance improvements of the mdi server
SCALE-RT 5.0.1
- TCP/IP support
- Refactoring of the MDI server for better performance.
- New model frame (v4)
- Abstraction layer between model front end and model data exchange for a simple integration of new simulation toolkits.
- ANSI C written models can be directly compiled as SCALE-RT models o Support for signals, states and tuneable parameters for MATLAB Simulink models
- National Instruments M-Series support (NI PCI-/PCIe-62xx)
- Extended measurements (supports measuring of up to 512 signals)
- New LabVIEW library supporting UDP and TCP communication. Reading of signals and states. Writing of tuneable parameters.
