The minimum requirements for an Automatic Installation are as follows
1. The 'Installation Assistant' is launched automatically and examines the Target Computer hardware configuration. Where possible it will provide an installation suggestion based on the detected configuration as shown in the following screen:
If the system is unable to suggest an installation the following screen will be displayed informing the user to proceed with a 'Manual Installation'.
2. Select the 'Ok' option to continue with the suggested installation. Alternatively you can select the 'Cancel' option if you do not wish to continue with the suggestion provided and proceed with the 'Manual Installation' procedure.
3. At the end of the installation the assistant will ask for the 'hostname'. Enter the Target Computer 'hostname' as shown in the following screen and press 'Enter' key to continue:
4. The assistant will finalize the installation and reboot the system. Remove the CD immediately after reboot to prevent the system from booting from the CD.
5. Boot the target
It is sufficient to boot the pre-installed Target Computer. The Target real-time environment will be launched automatically after booting the system. If the system is in demo mode, this means if you did not activate the target with your license key before (see License Management), you have to select demo mode in the following screen to start the real-time environment.
If you have a license.dat for the target on your usb-stick you can select load license.dat to activate the target at this point.
6. Proceed with the Network configuration. |
